Quartz Maintenance

  • WIPE WITH A SOFT CLOTH AND MILD DETERGENT.

Clean the counter with soap and warm water daily, if possible. Wipe them down more frequently, as needed. Do not use any harsh chemical detergents to clean.

  • SCRAPE AWAY DRIED GUNK.

Use a blunt, plastic scraper. Scrape gently to remove hardened spills or buildup such as gum, grease; do not use any sharp objects to scratch or scrape the quartz surface.

  • WIPE AWAY GREASE WITH A GENTLE DEGREASING CLEANER.

Spray the counter with a degreasing and disinfectant cleanser that doesn’t contain bleach. Rinse immediately afterwards with a sponge or wet rag.

  • CLEAN UP SPILLS RIGHT AWAY.

Even though Telfstone quartz resists permanent staining when exposed to liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, it’s always safer to clean the spills as soon as possible to avoid further possible damage. For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad to clean it off.

  • PROTECT YOUR COUNTERTOPS FROM EXTREME TEMPERATURES.

Although quartz can resist in high temperature, but it cannot be damaged by quick temperature change. It’s always safer to put hot objects on top of a mat or trivets.

  • AVOID USING KNIVES DIRECTLY ON THE QUARTZ SURFACE.

Use a cutting board top of the Telfstone quartz counter when you want to slice or dice. Quartz countertops are highly scratch resistant, but they are not scratch-proof and can be damaged by sharp objects

  • AVOID HARSH CLEANERS.

Do not clean your Telfstone Quartz countertops with any highly acidic or alkaline cleaners. If one of these harsh chemicals gets contact with your Telfstone Quartz countertops, please clean the countertop immediately.

  • AVOID IMPULSIVE FORCE ON YOUR COUNTERTOP.

Don’t drop heavy objects onto your counters. Excessive force can chip and crack the countertop surface. Violating this warning may void your warranty.
